Can I add a battery to my existing solar?
Yes. Most systems can take a battery, either AC-coupled alongside your current inverter, or by swapping to a hybrid inverter. Which one suits depends on the age of your inverter and how much you're exporting now.
What size battery do I need?
It's mainly set by how much power you use after dark, and your solar needs to be big enough to fill it. We size it around your evening and overnight load from your interval data, then check it against your budget.
Will my solar work in a blackout?
Only with a battery that has backup capability. A standard grid-connected system without storage shuts down in an outage to keep line workers safe.
Can I charge my EV from solar?
Yes, and it's usually the cheapest way to charge. You need a charger that can follow your solar output and sometimes a switchboard upgrade. We confirm both before quoting.
Are there rebates in South Australia?
Most solar and battery installs qualify for federal incentives, and the amounts change over time. We apply whatever you're eligible for directly on your quote, so you see the real out-of-pocket price.
How do you quote?
Quotes are free and itemised. We check the roof, switchboard and shading first, because those decide what's possible and what it costs, then send a written quote naming every component.
