We set backup up for the whole house or just the circuits that matter, depending on your switchboard and what you want running. We confirm what's possible before we quote.

Rebate and SA Power Networks paperwork

As an accredited installer we claim the STCs and show the rebate as a line on your quote. We also lodge the SA Power Networks approval for you.

Solar Sharer charging set up

If you're on a Solar Sharer plan, we can schedule the Powerwall to top up from free grid power between 12 and 3, so it's full for the evening even on a cloudy winter day.

How much is the battery rebate on a Powerwall 3?

Can a Powerwall run my whole house in a blackout?

It can be set up to back up the whole home, or just essential circuits like the fridge, lights and internet. What runs, and for how long, depends on how much is stored and what you switch on. We confirm the backup setup before we quote.

Can I add a Powerwall to my existing solar?

Usually, yes. We check your current inverter, panels and switchboard first. If your solar is too small to fill the battery in winter, we'll tell you and talk through options like extra panels or charging on a Solar Sharer plan.

Can a Powerwall charge from free grid power?

On a Solar Sharer plan, yes. Since 1 July 2026, SA retailers must offer at least one plan with free grid power from midday to 3pm, capped at 24 kWh a day. We can set the Powerwall to top up in that window. Those plans usually have higher supply and peak charges, so compare the total cost first.

Do I have to join a virtual power plant to get the rebate?

No. The battery has to be capable of joining a VPP to qualify, but signing up is your choice. Any VPP deal is separate, with the retailer.

Is Tesla the best battery for my home?
