The north-east is really two areas in one. Modbury, Tea Tree Gully and Banksia Park are mostly older brick homes from the 1960s to the 1980s, and plenty already have an early solar system on the roof.

Older homes often need the switchboard looked at before a battery goes in. On a recent Banksia Park battery job we replaced a switchboard with an asbestos panel as part of the install. A switchboard upgrade isn't always needed, but we check on every quote.

Golden Grove and Greenwith are newer, mostly 1990s and 2000s family homes on hilly streets. Roofs often face a few different ways, so we plan panel layouts around the slopes and any trees. Many of these homes are adding a solar battery to an existing system, or replacing a tired one.

Can you add a battery to my older solar system?

Can I use the free midday power with a battery?

Yes. Under the federal government's Solar Sharer offer, SA retailers must offer a plan with free grid power from midday to 3pm. If you're on one, we can set your battery to top up in that window on cloudy days.
