Do you service Unley and the inner south?
Yes. We cover the whole City of Unley, including Parkside, Fullarton, Goodwood, Wayville, Kingswood, Malvern, Hyde Park and Myrtle Bank. It's about 35 minutes from our Hackham base.
My house is a character home. Can I still get solar?
Usually, yes. If your home is heritage listed or in a historic area, panels visible from the street can need council approval. We'll check it and, where we can, put panels on the side or rear roof.
Does old wiring need fixing before solar goes in?
Sometimes. Older switchboards and wiring may not meet current standards for solar or a battery. We inspect it at the quote and tell you straight what's needed and why. If a rewire is due, our residential electrical team can do it in the same job.
My roof gets shade from trees. Is solar still worth it?
It can be. We map the shade through the day and use Tigo optimisers so one shaded panel doesn't drag the rest down. If shade is too heavy, we'll tell you rather than sell you a system that won't perform.
Can EV chargers go in apartments or units?
Yes, with body corporate approval and enough capacity in the building's supply. We check the switchboard and give the strata what they need to decide.
Where does the battery go on a narrow Unley block?
Often on a side wall, in a carport or in a garage at the back. Many Unley homes have tight side paths, so we check clearances from windows, doors and walkways and keep the cable run to the switchboard short. We sort it at the site visit so nothing changes on install day.
